Mel Connet is Managing Director of Heritage Search Partners, a retainer-based executive search firm, and is based in Menlo Park, California.

 
Mr. Connet specializes in executive search at the Presidential, Executive Officer and Board of Director level on a global basis.  He has more than twenty years of experience in the executive search profession and has successfully completed over 300 assignments. His CEO placements have delivered cumulative increases in realized shareholder value in excess of $11 billion.

Mr. Connet's search practice is national in scope, with clients located in most regions of the United States, and he has the capability to source candidates internationally through the firm's network of executives and affiliated search professionals.  His clients include both early stage emerging growth companies as well as large, established multinationals.  In the former category, Mr. Connet has extensive experience and expertise with sensitive founder succession CEO searches.

Prior to Heritage Search Partners, Mr. Connet was a senior consultant with two international search firms, Heidrick & Struggles and Korn/Ferry International.

Before entering the executive search profession, Mr. Connet was Chief Financial Officer of Amarco Resources, a publicly traded energy industry services company. He also worked briefly in the venture capital industry with Crosspoint Venture Partners during business school, and later served in two venture-backed start-ups.

Mr. Connet graduated with an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and received a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
